Miguel is a mechanical engineer graduated from ITA – Instituto de Tecnologia da Aeronáutica. In 1978, he founded Datasul, which became the largest ERP software company in Brazil. Two decades later, in 1999, he founded NeoGrid, a leader in Brazil of SCM (Supply Chain Management) solutions – where he is currently chairman of the board. Concurrently, since 2003, Abuhab has been working on his Tax Simplification Plan for Brazil, which served as the foundation for the tax reform report by former federal congressman Luiz Carlos Hauly, approved in December 2018 on the special commission of the House of Representatives. Abuhab incorporates the Theory of Constraints (TOC), developed by Eliyahu Goldratt, to his business expertise as well as ideas related to supply chain. He is also a founding member of the organization TOCICO – Theory of Constraints International Certification Organization. The entrepreneur also works strongly in social responsibility projects, focused on education. The TOCfE (TOC for Education) program, sponsored by the Miguel Abuhab Institute (IMA), has already trained 126 volunteer teachers in 22 public schools in Joinville, serving more than 9,000 children. |
